Dremio Corporation is a software company that provides an open and easy-to-use data lakehouse platform. Founded in 2015 by Tomer Shiran and Jacques Nadeau, Dremio aims to revolutionize data analytics by delivering data warehouse functionality with data lake flexibility. The company is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and serves hundreds of global enterprises, including prominent names like Maersk, Amazon, Regeneron, NetApp, S&P Global, Shell, TD Bank, Michelin, and Farmer's Insurance. Dremio's platform empowers organizations to run mission-critical business intelligence (BI) and data science workloads directly on their data lake storage, such as Amazon S3 and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).

Dremio's core technology is built upon open source standards, including Apache Iceberg and Apache Arrow, of which Dremio was a co-creator. This open architecture is designed to provide platform flexibility, prevent vendor lock-in, and enable community-driven innovation. The Dremio Unified Lakehouse Platform simplifies data architectures by eliminating the need for complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data movement to proprietary data warehouses. It offers a self-service semantic layer, allowing data consumers to easily discover, curate, and analyze data using their preferred tools like SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI. Key capabilities of the platform include a high-performance SQL query engine, data virtualization, data mesh enablement, and support for AI and machine learning initiatives. Dremio's solutions cater to various use cases, such as data warehouse migration, unified data access, and Hadoop migration. The company emphasizes accelerating time to insight, improving data team productivity, and reducing infrastructure costs for its customers. Dremio has introduced innovative features like generative AI capabilities for streamlined data discovery and analysis, a hybrid data catalog for Apache Iceberg, and Autonomous Reflections for sub-second query performance.
