The Practice Solutions Expert is the key subject matter expert for Dext’s Solution Platform. Their primary mission will be to deliver pre and post-sales expertise to support prospects and customers evaluating their MTD solution. Additionally, this person will be involved in the enablement of UK sales teams with product narrative and new feature training. Ultimately, this person will support revenue growth and the success of the UK market specific to our MTD offering.

The role - what you'll do:

  • Understanding and being able to advise on a firm’s MTD options and requirements, the optimum process strategy and managing and interpreting requirements as they relate to a prospect or customer’s existing technical ecosystem during the pre and post-sales process
  • Ensuring prospects and customers understand the end-to-end value proposition of the MTD solution on sales calls, demos, and in-person meetings
  • Matching the Dext MTD Platform and services with the needs of the prospects and customers, including professional services for implementation
  • Supporting solutions implementation for key Prospects and Customers
  • Defining solutions, creating presentations and documentation, inputting into sales proposals, bids, and decks, executing Proof-of-Concepts
  • Employing strong stakeholder management of cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical across multiple geographies
  • Providing a deep level of product and legislative knowledge and skillfully answering product-related questions in real time during the sales cycle
  • Participating in discussions with prospects regarding the competitive landscape, drawing on knowledge of competitive differentiation and positioning
  • Embedding sales best practices, training, and product expertise in the regional field sales teams
  • Training the sales team on new MTD features and product improvements and how to successfully position those features for maximum impact
  • Sharing out the Voice of Customer to the Product Team to influence the Product Roadmap
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

  • Quarterly New Business and Xsell UK Revenue targets achieved
  • £ of New, Expansion, and Cross-Sell deals influenced

Input Metrics:

  • Delivery of materials, like large firm pitch decks
  • Consultations attended
  • Consultations advanced to the next stage
  • SLA compliance for customer responses
  • Internal training conducted

Skills Requirements

  • Accounting industry experience is required; past experience in an Accounting Practice essential
  • Knowledge of MTD legislation and HMRC requirements associated
  • Deep understanding of core accounting processes - e.g. Personal tax, Year End Accounts, VAT, Advisory etc.
  • Experience with Accounting Software
  • Strong experience in delivering customer presentations and demonstrations
  • Requirements gathering and analysis, including customer meetings and workshops.

  • G Suite, specifically Google Slides, Sheets (/Excel), Documents
  • Strong Accounting software ecosystem knowledge
