Project Manager - Sustainable Packaging

THIS HYBRID ROLE CAN BE LOCATED IN ANY DS LOCATION IN EUROPE OR AMERICA

As part of our sustainability initiatives, we are seeking a talented Program/Project Manager to lead the implementation of our global sustainable packaging program.

The Sustainable Packaging Project Manager will spearhead the development, alignment, and successful execution of a sustainable packaging program across our Global Business Units.

This role embodies our company values of collaboration, agility, trust, and respect, working closely with key stakeholders in Product Management, Quality & Regulatory, R&D, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance.

The aim is to coordinate and implement sustainable packaging initiatives at manufacturing and distribution sites. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive project plans, allocating necessary resources, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Leveraging project management best practices and fostering collaboration with internal and external teams, the Project Manager will oversee the execution while adhering to sustainable packaging guidelines and environmental regulations. Ultimately, the focus is on achieving sustainable packaging goals within budget, while optimizing key performance factors such as cost and lead-time.

  • Works with key stakeholders to define the project scope and objectives. Develops, and secures appropriate approvals for, a project charter.
  • Creates a detailed project plan and defines the human and financial resources required to meet the project objectives. Consults with Finance, HR and Legal resources to make certain the plan is legally compliant and considers all aspects of the potential change on the organization.
  • Utilizes the appropriate processes, methods, and tools for project management and project documentation.
  • Partners with internal and external project team members and/or stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. Ensures activity is completed in accordance with regulations, applicable standards, and company procedures.
  • Regularly assesses and manages project risks and opportunities, including developing the required risk mitigation plans, to ensure project objectives are accomplished per the established timeline and budget.
  • Responsible for facilitating communications with the project team and key stakeholders. This includes providing regular updates regarding project status and performance.
  • This position may require travelling, up to 25%, to support the project and can vary depending on the project stage and status.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree and 5+ years of experience managing global projects
  • PMP Certification preferred
