The Role

Covetrus is a global animal health organization providing a range of integrated products and services which drive improved clinical and financial outcomes for vets and pet owners. We are currently seeking an experienced software engineering professional to join our APAC IT team as Analyst Programmer. Reporting to the Manager, Application Development you will be responsible for the support, enhancement and development of our critical systems that support our veterinary wholesale distribution business.

This role is open to all locations in Australia with remote work options available.

Your main responsibilities will be;

  • Working closely with business users, stakeholders and other developers to understand requirements and design high quality solutions.
  • Designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Blazor or Vue.js.
  • Implementing business rules in C# via API’s or services and crafting a complete solution.
  • Participate in code-reviews, system testing and user training sessions.
  • Provide third level support for our software, fixing bugs as required.

About You

To be successful you will have;

  • A passion for writing quality software.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent) combined with demonstrated minimum three to five years programming experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in using the Microsoft tech stack (c#, SQL, .NET).
  • Front end development experience will be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting B2B systems within the pharmaceutical, wholesale distribution or supply chain industries will be well regarded.
  • Well-developed communication skills to consult with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
