Junior L1 Support Engineer

We are looking for a Junior L1 Support Engineer to become a member of the CloudLinux infrastructure team. Our team is entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities, from managing access and providing compute resources and services to everyone in the company, to developing our own infrastructure projects and automations.

Responsibilities

As a part of Infrastructure team you are responsible for effective tracking and timely resolution of tasks such as:

• User management: onboarding/offboarding procedures and access management
• Server management: installing new and keeping track of existing production hosts on bare metal, public and private cloud.
• Managing DNS records, domain purchases, transfers or discontinuations.
• Security tasks: firewall configuration and regular OS updates.
• Monitoring and incident resolution: responding to incidents and ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Create new services and integrate them in current infrastructure in alignment with the specifications provided by the development teams.
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate routine administration tasks.
• Write and maintain documentation for services, tasks and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth understanding of RHEL operating systems and its derivatives, including CentOS and AlmaLinux.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network fundamentals
• Experience with various compute environments, such as bare-metal servers, virtual machines, and containers.
• Basic knowledge on how to monitor infrastructure components and services.
• Familiarity with Ansible and other configuration management tools.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
• Eagerness to learn new concepts quickly for independent troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory)
• Experience with at least one commercial cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with at least one common scripting language, such as Bash or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with the Git version control system.
