Sitecore Architect/Developer

ole Overview:

We are seeking a Sitecore Connector Developer to design and implement a custom connector that integrates Sitecore with the client’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This role involves modifying the existing Sitecore workflow and media handling processes to utilize CDN embed links from the client DAM, rather than storing media assets directly in the Sitecore Media Library.

Key Responsibilities:

Connector Development:

• Modify the existing Sitecore connector to utilize client CDN embed links for media, replacing the current functionality that copies media into the Sitecore Media Library.
• Ensure the connector interacts with the client DAM via REST API to handle asset creation and management.

Sitecore Workflow Integration:

• Modify Sitecore Workflow to include functionality that pushes newly created and approved assets into the client DAM.
• Ensure Sitecore receives the client CDN embed link from the client DAM and updates the Sitecore Media Library to reference the embed link instead of storing media in the SQL Blob Table Storage.
• Implement a system to purge or soft-delete the Sitecore Blob Table Storage only after the media asset is successfully moved to the client DAM and verified.

Daily Sync Job Development:

• Develop a sync job within Sitecore Workflow that scans the Sitecore Media Library’s SQL Blob Table Storage daily.
• Queue rows with media blobs that need to be migrated to the client DAM.
• Contact the client DAM via REST API to move these assets and obtain the CDN embed links.
• Update the Sitecore Blob Table storage to reference the CDN embed link once the migration is complete.

Post-Migration of Existing Media:

• Create a process to migrate all existing media assets in the Sitecore Media Library to the client DAM.
• Ensure all assets post-migration reference the client CDN embed links within Sitecore.

Remote
Contract to hire for approximately 450 hours in 10 weeks, post completion it will be converted to full time hire.

Salary : 38-45 Lacs

Requirements

1. Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience with Sitecore development and customization, including workflows, media library management, and connector integrations.
• Proficiency in REST API integration to facilitate communication between Sitecore and external systems (client DAM).
• Familiarity with CDN embed links and how to implement external media references in content management systems.
• Knowledge of SQL Blob Table Storage and efficient management and purging techniques in a Sitecore environment.

• Ability to design custom Sitecore connectors and manage media asset synchronization between Sitecore and client DAM.
• Experience implementing daily automated sync jobs in Sitecore, ensuring smooth communication between systems and successful asset migrations.

• Understanding of Digital Asset Management systems and experience working with media asset migration, creation, and management workflows.
• Ability to validate media migration success and handle post-migration data cleanup (purging Sitecore’s SQL Blob storage).

• Experience in designing and optimizing workflows within Sitecore to support external system integrations, asset creation, and media management tasks.
• Ability to manage issues that arise during asset migration and ensure no media assets are lost during the transition to client DAM.

• Familiarity with CDN solutions, digital asset storage strategies, and cloud-based media management.
• Experience with Azure or AWS for media storage and CDN integration.
• Strong understanding of best practices for secure and efficient media asset handling in enterprise environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and documentation skills, particularly when working with external teams (client DAM providers).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team, contributing to both technical development and workflow/process enhancements.

Experience:

• 3-5+ years of Sitecore development experience with a focus on media management and system integration.
• Previous experience with DAM systems, CDN integration, and media asset migration is highly desirable.

This role is key to enhancing media handling efficiency and scalability within Sitecore, ensuring seamless integration with external DAM systems.
