We’re looking for a Data Engineering Lead to manage and grow a team responsible for building reliable, scalable data systems that support the business. This role blends technical leadership, project delivery, and stakeholder management.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading or mentoring data engineers
- Strong background in data engineering, including building and maintaining pipelines, schemas, and scalable data architectures
- Ability to plan and deliver projects end-to-end, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Solid understanding of data modelling, schema design, and schema evolution best practices
- Experience improving data pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and reliability
- Familiarity with data governance, documentation, and metadata management principles
- Strong SQL and query optimisation skills, with the ability to support analytics and reporting use cases
