About You

What you'll do

• Help translate user interfaces of all Chesscom apps (Chesscom, Chesscom Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, Dr Wolf, etc).
• Help translate marketing campaigns.
• Help translate Coach analysis.
• Translate player profile pages, chess terms, news articles (tournament recaps / important announcements, etc.)
• Translate & edit graphical assets
• Review previously submitted translations and ensure they're high quality.

Skills

• Basic graphic editing skills
• Demonstrated expertise in chess with a deep understanding of its terminology.
• Proven professional experience in translating complex texts between English and Polish
• Exceptional linguistic knowledge, including a strong grasp of language theory and structure.
• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Polish.
• Excellent communication skills with a high degree of responsiveness and the ability to work effectively on collaborative platforms like Slack.
• Proven ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines, occasionally within a 24-48 hour turnaround time (sometimes including weekends/holidays).
• Availability to work a flexible hourly schedule, averaging 30 hours per week.

About the Opportunity

This is an hourly contract opportunity with an estimated 30 hours/week on average.

We are 100% remote (work from anywhere!)
