About the role

Looking to kick off your career in Accounting and Finance? We’re searching for an Accounting Analyst who’s ready to take on exciting challenges, grow their skills, and have some fun while doing it. Whether you’re a fresh graduate or have a couple of years of experience, this is your chance to bring your passion for finance, learn on the job, and be part of a team that works hard and knows how to enjoy life.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the Purchase to Payable process: Process invoices and payments efficiently and accurately.
• Get hands-on with period-end close activities: Handle journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Manage and improve asset processes: Use tools like Workday to collaborate with stakeholders and streamline workflows.
• Update and enhance policies: Partner with the People Team to refine our expenses policy and ensure compliance through spot checks.
• Support reporting and audits: Help with external audits, financial statements, VAT declarations, and internal reporting.
• Drive automation and innovation: Bring fresh ideas for invoicing and expenses, using OCR, AI, and other tools to make processes smarter and faster.

• You’ve got the basics of accounting down—think journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheets—but you’re eager to learn and grow.
• You’re a quick learner with a tech-savvy mindset, ready to master tools like Workday and explore new technologies.
• You love process automation and innovation, and you’re excited about using AI/ML to make processes smarter and faster.
• Your communication skills are on point, and you’re comfortable working independently and with a team.
• You’re organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, able to juggle tasks and meet deadlines.
• Most importantly, you’re fun, approachable, and easygoing—the kind of person our Finance team can work hard with and grab a drink afterward!

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
