Entry Level Accountant for a Top Ten US Insurance Carrier

Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Accounting position for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

Locations: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico.

As an Entry Level Accountant, you will be part of a team within the Finance organization that ensures key financial measures and metrics used across the organization for reporting and analytics are accurate and complete. This is an excellent opportunity to support the broader organization while further developing your skills.

What you will do

• Analyze and prepare documentation to support financial reconciliations by book of business.
• Prepare journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the ledger.
• Identify, analyze, research, and resolve system anomalies.
• Collaborate with IT and Business to resolve reconciliation variances.
• Validate accounting impact from system changes.
• Support the business units, auditors, state regulators, and actuarial as assigned.
• Innovate and drive process improvement.
• Work in a strong team environment with a focus on collaboration, diversity in thought, and inclusion.
• Articulate results effectively to management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or a related field with an emphasis on accounting
• 2 - 5 years of experience
• Advanced Excel skills to be able to manage a large amount of data (Pivot table, Macro, V-lookup, etc.)
• Self-starter and quick learner
• Team player and effective collaborator
• Analytical and meticulous with an unrelenting attention to detail (regular reporting)
• Exceptional analytical skills and an inquisitive mind
• Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skill
• Customer-centric and trustworthy
• Proficient in English
• Available to work in the US Pacific time zone

What makes you stand out:

• System analysis experience
• Accounting background - general ledger balance is properly controlled.
• Reconciliation experience

A plus:

• SAP application experience (modules FI, CO), preferred Hana S4, or strong experience in a similar application
• Insurance knowledge
