Capgemini is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Automation Tester (overall 5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing) to join our dynamic team to support the needs of a Top Ten US Insurance Carrier.

As a Senior Automation Tester at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software applications by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. Your expertise in automation testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies will be essential in driving efficiency and effectiveness in our testing processes. With your attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Agile Dev Team Members have collective responsibility for the design, development, testing, and/or deployment of system functionality.

Agile Dev Team Member II with primarily a development discipline provides technical feasibility using basic coding methods and adheres to coding standards to ensure consistent style and format. Ensures systems are high in code and component quality and are easily modified to support future requirements with the support and guidance of more senior developers or architects.

Agile Dev Team Member II with primarily a testing discipline ensures the end product meets the business acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements. Defines and executes tests early, often, and at multiple levels depending on their level of experience. Based on their business products, processes, and system knowledge, they provide a broad level of thinking for exceptions and other unexpected ways users may interact with systems. They utilize basic to intermediate testing techniques and tools. The Agile Dev Team Member II is moderately capable of working on more than one type of task and is somewhat limited in their ability to consistently pull the next highest priority work item.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-leading automation testing frameworks and tools
  • Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and performance issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and test cases
  • Conduct test case reviews and provide feedback to improve test coverage and effectiveness
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex software defects
  • Participate in Agile development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation best practices

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automated software testing
  • Automated Testing role (Selenium + GitHub Jenkins) + some manual testing experience is required
  • Must have experience in working with databases, query language (SQL), and database testing through JDBC
  • At least 3 years of experience and strong proficiency in:
    • Test automation frameworks such as Selenium and Web Driver
    • Using TestNG, JUnit, Maven,
    • Using test .Net + Unit MAVEN and Cucumber BDD
    • Developing test automation scripts for web-based applications using Selenium web driver and Java
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
  • Knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems (experienced in using Jenkins for Test executions and expertise in analyzing failures with minimal guidance or support)
  • Should have good knowledge of Web Services and tools – Postman/Soap UI
  • Should have basic knowledge of using Rest Assured library/any equivalent Java library for API automation
  • Query language of SQL and database testing through JDBC + AS400
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated, eager to solve problems, have troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of the US Property Casualty Insurance Business is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Experience with performance and load testing
  • Experience in the financial services industry
