ABOUT THE PRODUCT

One of our flagship solutions is BRYTER BEAMON, the platform that gives you all the industry-standard AI tools with a legal workflow engine. Trusted by legal teams to help research, draft, compare, summarize, review documents and automate processes. Leveraging advanced AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), our AI Agents enable users to focus on high-value, strategic work by reducing their manual workloads.

Our platform is built with TypeScript, running on a Node.js backend with PostgreSQL and GraphQL, and a React frontend for a seamless, responsive user experience. With robust infrastructure managed via Kubernetes and Docker on AWS, we ensure scalability and reliability as we expand our AI-driven automation solutions globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborative Development: Work closely with other engineers using pair programming and mob programming practices. We believe that collaboration leads to better outcomes, stronger code, and continuous learning within the team.

• User-Focused Features: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams to prioritize and implement features that enhance user workflows, focusing on delivering meaningful improvements.

• AI Development and System Design: Lead the further development of our AI system, built in Typescript, to optimize information retrieval of large documents. Ensure quality of system responses. Shape our AI system to scale with our expanding user base.

• Backend Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of clean, scalable, and efficient backend code.

• Architectural and Technical Excellence: Contribute to architectural decisions by emphasizing practical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, prioritizing quality over quick fixes. Avoid premature optimization and over engineering, ensuring that technical excellence effectively supports the product’s success and drives meaningful business outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• AI Development: Experience working with AI or machine learning technologies, particularly large language models (LLMs) and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval techniques
  • Knowledge of building complex workflows and agents (LangGraph)
  • Knowledge of working with modular tools, Q&A bots and RAG agents (LangChain)

• Proven Backend Experience: 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable services with Fastify or similar frameworks.

• Proficiency in TypeScript: Strong understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+), with a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code that prioritizes simplicity and clarity.

• Efficiency & Simplicity: A focus on building efficient, effective solutions that solve the right problems. You strive for simplicity and avoid over-engineering, ensuring that what you build serves the users and the product's core goals.

• Agile & Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in Agile teams, with a preference for pair programming, mob programming, and continuous delivery environments.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to navigate complex challenges while keeping the focus on building what matters most.

• Technical Excellence: A passion for building high-quality, performant, and accessible applications, always with an eye toward efficiency and delivering value to users.

• Experience in startup environments, with the flexibility to shift priorities and pivot direction when necessary.

• Basic frontend development skills in a framework (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue).
