Schedule: Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM New Zealand (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Manila time) (8 hours per day/40 hours per week)
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and versatileProduct Ownerto lead the development of our VR and desktop medical simulation software. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with a diverse, international team of software engineers and vendors. This role may also involve assisting in project management and business analyst tasks to drive project success.
Responsibilities:
- Product Leadership:Define and manage the product backlog, writing and refining user stories and JIRA tickets to guide the development team.
- Team Collaboration:Coordinate with software engineers, international vendors, and team members to ensure timely delivery of product features.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with stakeholders to align the product vision with business goals and customer needs.
- Task Management:Utilize JIRA for effective task management and maintain clear, organized documentation.
- Project Assistance:Assist in project management tasks such as managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Business Analysis:Gather and analyze requirements, translating them into actionable tasks and features.
- Adaptability:Adapt to changing project needs and take on multiple roles as required.
- Communication:Maintain strong communication channels within a diverse, international team.

Requirements:
- Experience:Proven experience as a Product Owner in software development, with exposure to project management and business analysis.
- Methodologies:Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with JIRA.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork:Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and international teams.
- Adaptability:Willingness to adapt and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Technical Interest:Interest in or experience with virtual reality and/or medical education technology.
- Availability:Ability to work full-time.
