WHY BOX NEEDS YOU:
As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within our organization. Your role will involve coordinating project timelines, milestones, and scope while ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project risks, and deliver successful outcomes will be crucial in this role.
WHAT YOU'LL
80% Program Manager:
POR: Developing and managing a comprehensive Plan of Record (POR) and roadmap that outlines approved initiatives, timelines, and milestones
Metrics: Defining and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program progress and success
Portfolio Prioritization: Balancing priorities between IT and cross functional projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Stakeholder Management: Facilitating collaboration between IT Operations and other Box teams by acting as the primary point of contact. Providing regular updates to executive staff and stakeholders on program status, KPIs, risks, and accomplishments through dashboards or reporting tools.
Program Planning and Execution: Develop and manage program plans around timelines, resourcing, and milestones to ensure successful completion
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure productive collaboration
Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications through regular reviews and audits
Risk Management: Identify potential issues or obstacles that may impact project success and develop strategies to mitigate them
20% Delivery of Value (Agile Kanban):
Consulting and training: Train, mentor, and advise team members on Kanban principles, practices, and tools.
Facilitate Kanban ceremonies: including daily stand-ups, Kanban planning, retrospectives, and more.
Process improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement Kanban methodologies tailored to the team’s needs. Continuously evaluate project management processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
Build trust: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and transparency. Promote trust within the team by promoting open communication and accountability.
WHO YOU ARE
Proven experience in IT project management, with a bonus for experience in security and agile transformation projects.
Strong ability to work with and manage challenging stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on timeline, scope, and vendor management.
Strong expertise with Jira and other Atlassian tools
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and navigate complex project environments.
Bonus: Experience with agile methodology and Kanban specifically for continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or similar certification or 5 years of experience managing projects.
Experience with IT infrastructure in a corporate environment.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
High level of empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage conflicts and build a positive team culture.
Bonus: Proven track record of implementing agile methodologies.
