Job Description

Are you passionate about innovation, emerging technologies, and user-centric solutions? Join the Innovation Hub at Bosch Building Technologies in Munich — a dynamic, agile team dedicated to developing cutting-edge products and services in the IoT and Generative AI space.

  • As an intern, you will become an integral part of a diverse and interdisciplinary team comprising Software Engineers, Solution Architects, UX Designers and Service Engineers. You will work in a start-up-like environment within the structure of a global technology leader, giving you the best of both worlds.
  • During your internship you will collaborate on real-world innovation projects focused on IoT, smart building solutions, and GenAI-powered services.
  • You will participate in the development of new product concepts using advanced technologies, including AI-based tools and frameworks.
  • Furthermore, you will support the team in design, development, and research tasks — such as data handling, prompt engineering, or integrating GenAI features into user-facing applications.
  • Last but not least you will gain hands-on experience with agile methodologies, service development workflows, and the use of AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Bosch internal platforms).

Qualifications

  • Education: Master studies in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: programming experience in C#.NET, Java or the Spring Framework; familiarity with frontend technologies like Angular, TypeScript and CSS; knowledge of Python or AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a proactive, open-minded and self-driven individual with a collaborative spirit and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work; you are comfortable working independently and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Work Routine: mobile working within Germany possible
  • Enthusiasm: exposure to or interest in Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt design, or text/image generation tools
  • Languages: fluent in English, German is optional

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months

For positions with the addition “remote possible”, you can agree on the appropriate collaboration for your task together with your manager and your team within the framework of Smart Work.
