THE POSITION
We are looking for a Senior GIS Analyst who is passionate about delivering projects with a positive impact to join our team. The successful candidate will be both independent and collaborative and possess the desire to continuously learn and teach others about the latest technologies. You'll work with a talented team to analyze spatial data and build modern web GIS applications that have a direct impact on our clients and their global missions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and maintaining Python scripts and packages for GIS analysis, data management, and visualization workflows
- Preparing data for use in custom web mapping applications (especially ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal for ArcGIS)
- Building data workflows, ETL Pipelines, and integrations between systems
- Directly interface with clients to understand GIS needs, architect solutions, and ensure satisfactory completion of deliverables.
- Publish and administer content in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Use Esri APIs, such as arcpy and the ArcGIS API for Python for completing GIS tasks and workflows
- Support project planning and sales activities through work break downs and estimated levels of effort
- Provide oversight and code reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of project deliverables
- Coordinating technical aspects of projects
- Sharing knowledge to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide direct oversight, supervision, and mentorship to more junior analysts through bi-weekly one on ones
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience working in the GIS industry
- Professional experience writing custom scripts withPython 3.x
- Esri suite experience including ArcGIS Pro and extensions, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal, Image Server)
- Knowledge of latest geospatial technologies needed for building modern web GIS applications
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure) for GIS
- Experience working with relational databases is a plus
- Experience managing others is a plus
- Ability to participate in a fast paced, highly collaborative, team environment; Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor or Master degree in Geography/GIS or related discipline; or equivalent experience
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
