Job Knowledge:
Position will require frequent telephonic and electronic communication with HSE, HR, Legal and Medical professionals globally. Have expert knowledge base of OSHA Standards and Regulations regarding medical surveillance programs and occupational health. Have expert knowledge of current global travel medicine practice. Have experience and knowledge of clinical issues related to ambulatory care, electronic medical record management and data privacy. Assesses and addresses medical needs of diverse and global employee population groups (based upon risk). Anticipates business needs in rising markets and develops global solutions. Develops global policies and medical programs to address regulatory requirements, customer requirements or other required medical testing. Initiates and manages vendor contracts for medical services.

Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of business essential occupational health programs and enhancement of current occupational health programs
  • Lead or contribute to projects aimed at globalization of current health programs and processes
  • Collaborating with global business stakeholders to develop and implement standard protocols for identified business needs
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations for health and medical programs, projects and processes to ensure regulatory, customer and business compliance
  • Functioning as subject matter expert and business point of contact for BH Health - related procedures and BH Learning Management Systems courses
  • Contributing to Global Occupational Health’s review of employee injury data and reporting for the BH Corporate Responsibility process
  • Collaborating with BH Concur, Security and ISOS teams on Travel Ready processes
  • Supporting /ensuring business alignment of clinical staff at BH onsite clinics
  • Managing stakeholder alignment with business leaders to coordinate programs and resources with business needs and strategy, some but not all examples include:
  • Partnering with HR to ensure we are assessing the total worker and “total worker health”, coupling physical health with mental health and well-being.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to ensure ISO standards are properly measured and assessed
  • Working closely with HR and legal teams globally to ensure compliance with local requirements for occupational medical exams
  • Providing Occupational Health clinical expertise for projects and occupational health programs including FRAME, Fatigue Management, global workplace accommodations, malaria prevention, Global EAP/ escalated case management, injury prevention and other projects/programs as necessary
  • Building solid supplier management relationships to oversee third-party services including process design and day-to-day operations engagements. Partnering with sourcing to ensure compliance with onboarding of any new vendors and continual assessment of current vendors.
  • Coordinating health related business escalations globally to ensure the right stakeholders are involved to collaborate on a solution.
  • Assisting the Global Medical Director in providing global oversight of occupational health clinical functions and the development, management and administration of medical services for a widely dispersed population of employees working in a variety of working environments serving a diverse range of customers.
  • Handling complex professional work in the department as needed
  • Staff Minimum Qualifications, Training Standards and Credentials

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with current nursing license
  • Evidence of continuing professional education in occupational health (eg. MPH or Certified Occupational Health Nurse)
  • 5 years of Occupational Health leadership experience working with programs and projects that support health and medical needs of employees and business operations
  • Willingness to cover multiple time-zones based on needs of programs and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and implement solutions
  • Experience with EMR and/or occupational health information systems
  • Experience with data tracking, analyzing, trending and using data to develop appropriate programming
