Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Product Management to join our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Data team and advance our mission to reimagine the way customers capture, utilize, and exchange BIM data across the project lifecycle. This opportunity is for you if you have experience in AEC technology leadership and are excited by the idea of empowering the AEC industry by transforming how AEC professionals use data to capture knowledge, inform decisions, and deliver projects.

As a Sr. Manager of PM in Autodesk's AEC Data team you will be at the forefront of defining, designing, and building the next generation of data capabilities for the Autodesk Forma platform. In this role you’ll foster relationships with some of industry’s most influential AEC companies. You’ll work with development teams from across the Autodesk AEC product portfolio to introduce new data workflows for customers and build connections to tools outside the Autodesk ecosystem. You’ll lead a team focused on defining a digital thread that enables customers to more easily connect data leading to better and faster decisions.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management, AEC Data. This position can be fully remote, hybrid, or onsite with a preference for the Pacific time zone (PT).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define, champion, and execute a holistic product vision and strategy for connecting data that spans the AEC project lifecycle
  • Work with a cross-functional team and executive leadership to align product strategy with overall business objectives while actively managing risks, dependencies, and trade-offs
  • Demonstrate collaborative leadership across organizational boundaries to deliver initiatives that require execution from multiple product teams
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and opportunities for product development
  • Maintain current competitive knowledge and knowledge of emerging technologies and trends
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including product roadmap, release planning, and positioning
  • Lead a team of product managers and product owners, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success
  • Support a strong product management practice by implementing product management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Expertly represent the value of better AEC data and workflows at customer sites, briefings, conferences, and other external venues

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or AEC technology leadership
  • Passion for data and the impact digitalization can have on customers
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching software products or implementing AEC digital delivery initiatives
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams on sizeable cross-functional and cross-organizational projects
  • Experience and comfort managing stakeholders, risk, and uncertainty
  • Mastery of taking very complex ideas and conveying them in a concise and impactful manner
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities to effectively communicate product strategy and vision to both executive and customer stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a global team and travel for work 2-3 times per quarter

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a product team
  • Deep understanding of the AEC industry technology and point of view on customer challenges related to AEC data management
  • Knowledge and familiarity with AEC tools like Revit, Civil3D, or the Autodesk Construction Cloud and managing large amounts of AEC project data

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $153,000 and $273,460. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
