Position Overview

The Senior Project/Program Manager leads the delivery of Autodesk’s most complex and high-impact People & Places (PPL) initiatives, operating at the intersection of strategy and execution. This role is responsible not only for driving end-to-end program delivery, but also for shaping how work is defined, aligned, and executed across the organization.

As a recognized expert in program management, this individual brings deep subject matter expertise and consultative leadership to senior PPL leaders, centers of excellence, and enterprise stakeholders. They anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions that drive measurable business and organizational impact.

This role requires a systems thinker who can navigate ambiguity, influence across boundaries, and integrate multiple workstreams into cohesive, outcome-driven programs. The Senior Project/Program Manager plays a critical role in enabling PPL to deliver on its strategic priorities with clarity, accountability, and sustained impact.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes

  • Advisory & Influence: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance on program strategy, trade-offs, risks, and execution approaches

  • Complex Problem Solving: Lead resolution of highly complex challenges, integrating cross-functional inputs and developing innovative, scalable solutions

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive alignment across PPL, COEs, and enterprise stakeholders, influencing priorities, decisions, and resource allocation

  • Program Design & Planning: Define program structures, roadmaps, and operating models that connect strategy to execution across multiple workstreams

  • Risk Anticipation & Mitigation: Proactively identify business risks and interdependencies, developing forward-looking strategies to mitigate impact

  • Governance & Decision Frameworks: Establish and lead governance processes, ensuring clear accountability, effective escalation, and timely decision-making

  • Performance & Impact: Define success metrics, track outcomes, and synthesize insights to inform leadership decisions and continuous improvement

  • Change Leadership: Embed change management strategies to enable adoption, readiness, and long-term sustainability of program outcomes

  • Continuous Improvement: Evolve program management practices, frameworks, and tools to improve delivery across the PPL portfolio

  • Human-Centered Delivery: Incorporate employee and stakeholder insights to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and impactful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience leading complex, enterprise-level programs in dynamic, fast-paced environments

  • Demonstrated expertise in program management, including planning, governance, risk management, and performance tracking

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, shape priorities, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams

  • Experience solving complex, ambiguous problems and developing innovative, scalable solutions

  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to manage interdependencies across multiple programs and stakeholders

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience leading change and driving adoption across organizations

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, management, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering programs within HR / People & Places functions
