Transcribers will need to have native fluency in Spanish and mastery of Spanish orthography. The work is remote and requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and quality headphones.
Requirements
- Native fluency in Spanish with lifelong residence or deep immersion in the declared variety's region
- Mastery of Spanish orthography per current RAE / ASALE guidelines
- Strong ear for regional Spanish accents and ability to distinguish them in transcription
- Comfortable transcribing Spanish code-switching with English or regional indigenous languages where it occurs
- At least two years of professional transcription, captioning, court reporting, broadcast, translation, or linguistic annotation experience
- Demonstrated accuracy at the word level under deadline pressure
- Comfortable with web-based annotation platforms and variable-speed audio playback
- Reliable high-speed internet, quality headphones, and a quiet workspace
- Ability to commit to defined volume per week during active project phases
