TechHub Manager

Job Purpose:

Lead the LATAM TechHub (two agile teams, approximately 20 FTEs) ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery of regional customizations on global platforms.

The role is accountable for engineering execution excellence, operational discipline, governance adherence, and team performance management. The position ensures alignment with global product roadmaps and architecture standards while driving continuous improvement, transparency, and cost-effective operations within the regional OPEX budget.

This role does not own product strategy or enterprise architecture but is fully accountable for delivery performance and team effectiveness.

Main Responsabilities:

1. Delivery Performance & Governance – 35%

• Ensure delivery predictability, quality, and adherence to committed timelines, aligned with business priorities.
• Implement and monitor KPIs (velocity, cycle time, defect rate, rework, release accuracy).
• Improve delivery transparency by maintaining portfolio and proactively escalate risks.
• Ensure compliance with global architecture and governance standards.

2. Team Leadership & Talent Management – 30%

• Directly manage Scrum Masters and Technical Product Owners.
• Oversee performance and engagement of approximately of the team.
• Conduct structured performance reviews and development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and fair leadership.

3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement – 20%

• Identify process inefficiencies and implement structured improvements.
• Ensure backlog hygiene and disciplined agile ceremonies.
• Promote engineering productivity through best practices.

4. Regional Execution Alignment – 10%

• Partner w/ Business Product Owner and Head of IT to turn priorities into execution plans.
• Provide technical feasibility input for regional initiatives.
• Articulate delivery status and risks to stakeholders when required.

5. Financial Management – 5%

• Manage TechHub OPEX budget.
• Ensure cost discipline and optimized vendor utilization.
• Support financial planning and forecasting processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

• Solid experience in Information Technology.

• Experience leading descentralized teams of at least 10 professionals.

• Experience managing operating budgets (OPEX).

• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).

• Experience managing multi-team agile delivery environments.

• Experience operating within global and regional matrix organizations.

• Experience conducting formal performance evaluations and development planning.

• Experience managing distributed or nearshore teams (at least 10 professionals).

• Experience implementing engineering governance and delivery metrics.
