We are looking for a Product Manager who gets excited about building new things and disrupting the world around us for the betterment of society. We’re seeking an experienced Product Manager, a champion of product innovation and business growth who strives to lead a matrixed team to deliver product excellence. This role will be responsible for AssurantRenters.com, the flagship website of our Renters Solutions business. In this role you will be responsible for the creation and execution of the AssurantRenters.com roadmap and optimizing the website to meet customer needs and business growth objectives.

The Product Manager must ensure their products deliver customer and business value and the value is well articulated, communicated, and understood by both customers and internal stakeholders.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • User Experience Management: Oversee the overall user experience for products under your management, ensuring a seamless and engaging interaction for users.

  • Customer and User Expertise: Develop deep expertise in the needs and behaviors of your product's customers and users by spending significant time with them to understand their requirements.

  • Product Vision and Roadmap: Lead and communicate the continuous evolution of your product’s vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and the company’s strategic goals.

  • Discovery Processes: Conduct thorough discovery processes, including market analysis, user research, and prototyping, to identify and define valuable, usable, and feasible product features and functionalities.

  • Product Backlog Management: Prioritize and refine the product backlog to balance short-term and long-term value delivery, ensuring continuous improvement and relevance.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Design, and other team members throughout the product definition and project delivery phases to ensure cohesive and efficient progress.

  • KPI Definition and Monitoring: Define, maintain, and internalize key product performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress, report outcomes, and align product development with business strategy.

  • Product Success and User Satisfaction: Ensure the success of your products by achieving increased user satisfaction and meeting defined success metrics.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, delegate decision-making appropriately, and take ultimate responsibility for decisions within your product domain.

  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation in the company’s products to enhance their ability to serve customers and users effectively.

  • Competitive Analysis: Evaluate partner and competitor activities to identify opportunities and contextual insights that can inform product strategy.

  • Market and Sales Collaboration: Partner with Marketing and Sales/Business Development teams to identify and assess market opportunities, test products, and bring them to market successfully.

  • Acceptance Criteria and Backlog Refinement: Create clear, concise, and complete acceptance criteria, and work with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog for optimal value delivery.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Prepare comprehensive documentation of procedures, processes, and product features to contribute to the overall knowledge base and understanding among stakeholders

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • A minimum of 5 years in digital product management with proven success in B2C sales websites or similar applications.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with AGILE development methodologies.

  • Strong communication, organization, and project planning.

  • Previous experience focused on customer/user needs and experience.

  • Ability to manage business priorities against customer, user, internal, and partner needs.

  • Capability to discuss and differentiate opportunity, value, and revenue.

  • Leadership skills throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Critical thinking for quick decision-making and measurement during planning and execution.

  • Action-oriented with a bias towards testing, measuring results, and iterating for growth efficiency.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Experience in insurance industry preferred.

  • Technical fluency; comfortable discussing tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.

  • Proven ability to make sound recommendations that balance feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management.

  • Superb follow-through, problem-solving and communications skills.

  • Professional with mature business judgment and strong collaborative style.

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with Aha, ADO, Jira, Confluence, and/or other similar tools is desired.

How much should I expect to travel?

  • Up to 5% annually.

Pay Range:

$86,000.00 - $143,700.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
