Position Summary:

Cencora seeks a passionate, innovative, and experienced eCommerce Product Designer to join our expanding product design team and support the vision, build out and ongoing lifecycle of our eCommerce digital products. Under the direction of the Product Design Sr. Manager, this role is responsible for partnering with our business leaders, consultants, and agile teams to ensure the voice of the customer is translated into meaningful, accessible, and easy-to-use capabilities. This role will collaborate closely with product owners, product specialists, engineers, and other designers/researchers to ensure the successful implementation of product design strategies.

  • Bring to the table each day: a positive attitude, a true “team” spirit, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to display sound decision making under pressure

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create user experiences that are optimized for delivery across multiple platforms

  • Help define product requirements by collaborative brainstorming and high-level prototyping with partner teams

  • Contribute to design initiatives focused on understanding user needs and translating these into product strategies and experiences

  • Assist in building and test ideas that challenge the status quo and deliver high quality user experiences that raise the bar in terms of innovation, simplicity and consistency

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements and user needs into workflows, wireframes and intuitive user experiences that are technically feasible

  • Ability to collaborate with other Design and Product squad members, including researchers, designers, product owners, product specialists and engineers and drive design through influence

  • Experience creating, maintaining and working with designs systems, journey maps, personas and workflows

  • Experience conducting user research and testing as well as ability to analyze, synthesize and present research findings

  • Contribute to the overall advancement and improvement of products

Desired skillsets & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in digital product design for both web and mobile platforms.

  • Strong skills in product design strategy, including user research, personas, customer journeys, design thinking, ideation, sketching, prototyping, and concept validation.

  • Prior eCommerce Product Design experience highly desired

  • Experience designing accessible graphic user interfaces for complex applications and familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA Standards - nice to have, not required

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and utilizing design systems.

  • Experience conducting user research and testing and the ability to analyze, synthesize, and present research findings.

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web languages to collaborate effectively with engineers during the design process.

  • Strong presentation, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Portfolio of work samples - required

Minimum Skillsets, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

  • Strong presence, including the ability to partner with and effectively influence product and engineer leaders

  • Skilled at communicating verbally and in writing to diverse audiences

  • Proactive self-starter: assertive and able to ensure that Product Design principles are adhered to

  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to quickly re-prioritize in a dynamic environment

  • Analytical mindset and creativity to balance detailed problem solving with a ‘big picture’ strategic view

  • Ability to work well both independently as well as within a team-oriented environment

Salary Range*

$74,000 - 105,820

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/NewYork/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
