Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is a position that oversees the daily quality operations and ensures that processes comply with project and stakeholder standards. This individual supervises QA Staff, QA Specialist, and QA Inspector, manages testing and inspection procedures, and works closely with project stakeholders to resolve and document quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Experience and ability to oversee a staff of up to 20 QA Specialists and QA Inspectors during the execution of their responsibilities. Allocate resourcing, work with cleanup contractors and Corp leadership, QA/QC of documents and reports, and steward program quality performance. Review final reporting to verify that contractors’ QC protocols are effective and that all debris removal activities comply with USACE requirements.

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$105,000/year.

*Please Note: This position is contingent upon a contract award. We will not be actively responding to applicants until there is a need to move forward with this position.

This project is expected to start June 8th and run through December 31st.

This is a telecommute position within commuting distance to Los Angeles County (Pacific Palisades-SoCal Wildfire Cleanup).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise QA Specialists and QA Inspectors, including maintaining inspection schedule, monitoring performance, and quality control.
  • Maintain accurate QA records, logs, and reports.
  • Effectively communicate the internal document standards and client requirements to the various project team members using our document review procedures. Additional QA communication with staff is encouraged through staff training sessions, email communications, and individual coaching, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervision

QA Specialists and QA Inspectors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ten (10) years of construction or disaster recovery/site assessment/inspection/debris removal/remediation/oversight experience
  • Proficiency in document production software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry and internal standards for document editing and specific client requirements for document submittals
  • A strong understanding of technical/scientific planning and reporting document requirements with regard to document structure, formatting, proper citation and referencing methodologies, and data presentation within the environmental industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certification and training in technical editing and document management-related disciplines
  • USACE Construction Quality Management Training
  • Knowledge and experience with Alaska Native cultures

Physical Demands

  • Frequent lifting, sitting, standing, stooping for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity, should have good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related components.
  • Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, such as small electrical components, equipment, and other materials.

Work Environment

  • Indoors and outdoors may be subject to changes in temperature and noise levels.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or as business needs dictate
