About the Role

Join our dynamic Accounting team at Abnormal Security as a Senior Accountant. We're seeking a skilled professional who can spearhead our consolidation process and assist with technical and financial reporting. In this pivotal role, you'll not only establish robust standards within our accounting function but also ensure top-notch service delivery to our stakeholders. Collaboration is key, as you'll interact across various levels and departments to drive operational efficiencies and elevate our collections procedures. What you will do

  • Support production of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting package to be sent to stakeholders across the organization
  • Ensure consolidation and elimination entries are reflected in a complete and accurate manner
  • Participate in the month end close process including preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Support a continuous improvement by reviewing current processes and helping to suggest areas of improvement to facilitate a more efficient month end close and financial reporting process
  • Conduct research and analysis of complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to management
  • Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to optimize processes and facilitate scalable operational growth.
  • Document and maintain process guidelines and Policies & Procedures for the credit and collections function.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance measurably.
  • Support special projects such as system upgrades and integrations.

Must Haves

  • Minimum of 4 years of public accounting and industry experience.
  • Experience with consolidations and financial reporting
  • Exposure to transfer pricing
  • Requires good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for collections processes, coupled with a knack for implementing innovative solutions.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. Sage Intacct or NetSuite) and close reporting software (i.e. Floqast or Numeric).

  • Experience working in a startup environment

Base pay range:$89,800—$105,700 USDSan Francisco/New York Base pay range:$107,600—$126,600 USD
