THE OPPORTUNITY

ThisOperations Manager, Data Services position can work out remotely within the U.S.

As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data-driven strategies and contributing to the success of our Big Data initiatives at ADC. You support the broader Data Engineering and Analytics team by facilitating integrated, cross-functional projects and processes to support advancing capabilities.

The ideal candidate should have rigorous analytical capabilities, the ability to navigate ambiguity effectively, and a collaborative mindset to help solve our most complex business problems. Highly sought-after qualities include versatility and a desire to continuously learn, fresh ideas to improve and empower the team, with a focus on planning and strategy. The candidate should be able to work on a geographically distributed team.

What You’ll Work On

  • Drive both internal and external team members to define and meet our clients' and organization data and analytics needs

  • Lead and support strategic projects aimed at advancing the team's capabilities, including implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and adopting advanced technologies required to implement data engineering and analytics solutions

  • Manages concurrent, high visibility products/projects/services using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that will cross teams and business divisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Quality, Privacy, etc. to identify data needs, gather requirements and develop processes solutions

  • Work on a cross-functional team of data engineering, data science, etc. to deliver big data initiatives and data programs

  • Drive the end-to-end support and delivery of the data procurement process for the organization

  • Provide training and support to team and business partners as needed

  • Define and implement complex processes to support delivery of big data initiatives and programs

  • Set and measure success criteria for our data services

  • Maintains overarching responsibility for executing best practices approaches and methodologies (ex: Agile/Scrum, SAFe) for the support and delivery of solutions

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data mesh architecture, data science and machine learning to continually improve the team’s data service solutions

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and propose data-driven solution

  • Create and maintain comprehensive requirements and process documentation

  • Create and maintain training documentation

  • Ownership over documentation hygiene with our Product Lifecyle Management System to ensure seamless and compliant software releases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 6-8 years of recent experience.

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of information, extract key information, and prepare project plans to provide strategic solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and working knowledge of automated project planning tools.

  • Process-oriented thinking, focused on continuous improvement and lessons learned.

  • Knowledge of data governance principles, data integration, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, such as HIPAA and GDPR.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical information and processes into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed team.

Preferred

  • Education in, or experience with, data science, AI/ML, data engineering, etc.

  • Experience with data analytic environments and/or data intelligence platforms like Databricks, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry

  • Familiar with infrastructure as code

  • Familiar with big data testing approaches

  • Experience working in an agile environment

The base pay for this position is

$85,300.00 – $170,700.00
