Senior SRE Engineer | Remote

Your role and responsibilities:

• Establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Indicators (SLIs) for all services, implementing the concept of error budgeting.
• Upgrade the monitoring capabilities across all services to enhance observability.
• Develop tools and automation strategies to eliminate repetitive tasks and decrease operational burdens. Formulate and implement frameworks, processes, and best practices across 360dialog Engineering.
• Streamline 360dialog engineering procedures through automation, aiming to reduce risks and accelerate innovation.
• Design and oversee Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable software builds and deployments.
• Employ Terraform for infrastructure as code to automate and manage cloud infrastructure efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to integrate operational best practices and reliability into the early stages of software development.
• Lead initiatives in containerization and orchestration to enhance service scalability and manageability.
• Manage and optimise Google Cloud services, including Cloud Run and Cloud Functions, ensuring efficient operation and leveraging serverless architectures for scalability.

Requirements

• +5 years experience in an Devops role and +3 years in Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) positions

• Proficient with advanced monitoring tools to ensure system performance and availability.
• Expertise in Python for automating tasks and developing tools, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Demonstrable experience in managing CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software deployment processes.
• Expertise in Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning
• Experience with Google Cloud is preferred, though proficiency with other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is also valuable.
• Solid experience in Docker and Kubernetes for efficient container management and service orchestration.
• Ability to work seamlessly with development teams, advocating for SRE principles and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical skills for effective troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Excellent communication skills, adept in Agile methodologies, promoting effective team collaboration and project management.

• Terragrunt Knowledge: Candidates familiar with Terragrunt will have an edge.
• Software Engineering Foundation: A background as a software engineer is highly valued.
• Professional Certifications: Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, Terraform, or cloud-related are a plus
