Zoe Anthony
@zoeanthony
Assistant professor of philosophy and religion specializing in Nietzsche, ethics, and the philosophy of religion.
What I'm looking for
I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religion with a Ph.D. in Religion, Ethics, and Modern Thought from the University of Toronto, focused on Nietzsche, suffering, and the intersections of religion, art, and ethics. I have taught a wide range of undergraduate courses, published peer-reviewed articles and chapters, and have a book manuscript under review.
My work combines close textual scholarship with interdisciplinary collaboration—organizing conferences, editing journals, and contributing invited lectures and commentaries at major professional meetings. I bring proven teaching excellence, active research in progress (including a collaborative translation of the Vorrede to Thus Spoke Zarathustra), and service experience on hiring, curriculum, and faculty governance bodies.
