Xinyi Li
@xinyili
Research assistant and clinical psychology professional, blending quantitative methods with evidence-based mental health support.
What I'm looking for
I’m a psychology professional with an M.S. in Applied Psychology and hands-on experience spanning clinical training, field interviewing, and research. My master’s work focused on an EEG-based identification study of self-related claims, shaping how I think about measurement, interpretation, and real-world relevance.
In my clinical and field roles, I’ve completed 400+ hours of supervised training in psychopathology, psychological assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapies (CBT, psychodynamic, family systems). Through MyTherapist, I’ve led 10+ intake interviews and provided 50+ hours of client support, with documentation and risk-focused group supervision to strengthen my communication, risk awareness, and reflective practice.
On the research side, I’ve worked across quantitative methods and experimental design—analyzing longitudinal data in Python (LMM, Lasso regression, bootstrap mediation) and programming complete task flows in PsychoPy for replication on Pavlovia. I’m also developing remote infant eye-tracking workflows using WebGazer and integrating calibration into jsPsych paradigms, with a consistent goal: turn rigorous data into safer, more effective mental health and education outcomes.
