Worked at the IFRS Foundation, I was responsible for the architecture of official IFRS Accounting Taxonomy releases and associated guidance, working closely with standard-setting and technical teams.
I played a key role in enabling adoption of the IFRS Accounting Taxonomy across jurisdictions including the SEC, ESMA (ESEF), Latin America, South Africa, and Australia (SBR). I also led the migration of taxonomy development tooling to a web-based platform and established a sustainable BAU operating model.
My work spans XBRL specifications, dimensional taxonomies, Formula Linkbase, taxonomy architecture, and validation, alongside hands-on Java engineering. I’ve supported regulator and market engagement with technical advice and implementation guidance for supervisory and national competent authorities.
I’ve also prototyped AI/LLM tools for natural-language interaction with taxonomies and modernising XBRL tooling, including integration architectures such as Claude → MCP → API → XBRL.
