At HMRC, I was lead architect for the Making Tax Digital Income Tax API platform, with 170+ REST APIs across 25 microservices on AWS. I led the architecture through GDS Alpha and Beta, defined API standards and integration contracts, and guided Agile teams through delivery.

Across UK Government and financial services, I’ve designed integrations between government systems and secure banking platforms. I’ve stayed hands-on with Java and Spring Boot, and led engineering teams, including at HSBC, where I reviewed code across 200+ microservices and set engineering standards.
