What I'm looking for

I seek roles applying materials and metallurgical expertise to sustainable steel/R&D projects with industry collaboration, hands-on problem solving, and opportunities to mentor and lead.

I am a Doctoral (EngD) materials engineer researching the environmental impact of steel production, with practical experience in industrial collaboration, consultancy and CAD/FEA tools. My research—sponsored by the SUSTAIN Steel Research Hub—focused on element removal methods, production scenario suitability and critical technical review, supported by partnerships with industrial collaborators.

I have taught and facilitated undergraduate labs and project weeks, communicated complex scientific theory to diverse student cohorts, and held multiple senior leadership roles in university sport where I led large teams, managed significant budgets, secured funding, and delivered award-winning community and outreach activity.
