Vivek Bishnoi

I’m a Physics M.Sc. student at IIT ISM Dhanbad, focused on astrophysics and cosmology with a strong foundation in mathematical physics. I earned a final grade of 7.9/10 in my M.Sc. program, and I’m deeply motivated by recent research directions in astrophysics.

My academic journey includes strong national performance—JEST-2022 (AIR-69), JAM-2022 (AIR-581), JAM-2023 (AIR-450), and GATE-2024 (AIR-433). I was also selected in the IUCAA astrophysics programme, which strengthened my interest in pursuing research in this field.

In my project, I worked on “Electron Scattering From Boron Containing Compounds At High Energy,” performing theoretical calculations of elastic, inelastic, ionization, and differential cross-sections. I used the SCOP (Spherical Complex Optical Potential) method, CSP-ic (Complex Scattering Potential–Ionization Contribution), and the BEB (Binary Encounter Bathe) method, and I communicate results clearly with good research and communication skills.
