Vera Ndukwe

I'm pursuing a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy at ICHAS in Dublin and seeking clinician placement opportunities to apply therapeutic knowledge in practice.

At Eastwell Residential Home, I provided compassionate care and emotional support to elderly residents, including those experiencing grief, loss, isolation, dementia, and depression. I collaborated with care staff to respond to individual needs while building strong boundaries and therapeutic relationships.

As a Youth Leader at Mercy Christian Fellowship, I facilitate peer mediation and provide a safe space for young adults to discuss emotional issues. This work has strengthened my empathy, active listening, conflict resolution, cultural awareness, and confidentiality practices.

At Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, I supported patients and families while observing the connection between physical and mental health. I'm motivated to contribute evidence-based, empathetic support to individuals on their mental health and wellbeing journeys.
