Thauany Tavares

I'm a psychologist with postgraduate training in Schema Therapy and certified in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I'm a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and committed to evidence-based practice.

I have experience providing psychological support and trauma-informed interventions for individuals impacted by domestic violence, substance misuse, homelessness, and trauma. I specialise in case formulation, therapeutic interventions, and emotional regulation strategies to promote long-term well-being.

In clinical administration I managed prior authorisations for MRI, CT scans and neurosurgeries, processed clinical information to support surgical planning, and ensured continuity of care. In residential and social care settings I delivered Life Space Interview (LSI), facilitated group therapy, and applied CBT and Schema Therapy techniques with children, adolescents and adults.

I produce clear psychological reports, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and prioritise client safety through crisis prevention and trauma-informed care. I'm driven to support vulnerable populations and continue professional development in clinical practice.
