What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead People & Culture strategy end-to-end—driving employee experience, governance, and transformation—while building responsible AI adoption that respects human behaviour, ethics, and measurable outcomes. I am also open to a variety of generalist duties to assist companies to scale and develop people in tandem.

I’m a People & Culture professional with 13+ years of cross-industry HR leadership, bringing a grounded blend of operational partnership, academic insight, international exposure, and intuitive leadership. I lead across the full HR value chain—organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, employee relations, and operating model design—to strengthen culture and organizational performance.

In my current role as HR Manager / Shipboard People & Culture Lead, I partner with ship leadership and global shoreside HR teams to interpret policy, escalate people risk, and implement HR guidance within a highly regulated 24/7 environment. I own engagement and retention initiatives, lead ship-wide survey programs through analysis and action planning, and ensure rigorous people governance across audits, compliance, and work-and-rest hours.

Previously, as Human Capital General Manager at Arena Holdings, I secured R6 million in external funding to establish national internship and graduate development programs—building stronger early-career pipelines and long-term workforce capability. I also led digital and modernisation of operational processes, launched a New Hire Experience program, and advanced DEI initiatives beyond compliance, including psychological safety and structured succession readiness.

Across roles at Empact Group and Compass Group International, I’ve driven large-scale workforce restructuring, industrial relations interventions, and operating model transformation—introducing shared services structures, matrix leadership, and center-of-excellence capability. I’m also increasingly focused on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Human Resources, particularly responsible AI adoption, human behaviour, and governance—so people solutions stay ethical, measurable, and sustainable.
