Usman Nazir

I’m a backend engineer with 2.5+ years building production APIs in Python (FastAPI) and Node.js (NestJS/Express.js), and I take ownership of the infrastructure that runs them. I design and ship secure, high-performance REST services across dev, staging, and production.

At Mod.Venture, I architect MongoDB databases (query optimization, indexing, schema design) and also work with PostgreSQL and MySQL. I implement real-time features with WebSockets (Socket.IO) for instant messaging, typing indicators, and live session updates.

I deploy and operate workloads on AWS using Dockerised ECS/EC2, Lambda, S3, ALB, CloudFront, Route 53, and ECR—automated with GitHub Actions CI/CD. I instrument observability and security with Datadog (Cloud SIEM, logs, metrics, monitors), harden deployments with least-privilege IAM, secrets management in AWS Secrets Manager, and apply CIS/OWASP controls; I’ve also integrated AWS Bedrock, Gemini, and Hugging Face for retrieval-augmented generation and image generation.
