I’m looking for a backend role where I can own microservices end-to-end—designing event-driven systems, improving CI/CD and migrations, and building automation that reduces operational toil while maintaining reliability and performance.

I’m a Backend Software Engineer specializing in Python microservices, focused on building reliable, event-driven systems and automating operational pain away. I enjoy owning end-to-end delivery—from requirements and technical design through production rollout.

At OneDegree, I led end-to-end delivery of insurance issuance pipelines and web systems for insurer clients and their agents, including MARSH. I built a FastAPI/PostgreSQL adapter microservice to solve cross-system identity linking, so automation could run from user data entry through application creation on Fubon and Sinkong’s servers.

I also engineered a RabbitMQ event-driven email notification system with Python asyncio, including an in-memory task registry to prevent duplicate executions when schedulers overlap. To improve developer velocity, I designed Python automation that translated dashboard operations into sequenced API calls—reducing deployment time by 50% and eliminating error-prone manual steps.

Earlier work strengthened my data and platform instincts: I built an Airflow pipeline for RentHop to monitor MLS listing data quality, extended ETL in Python/Pandas at Appier, and improved performance at JGB Smart Property by redesigning asynchronous upload flows and implementing timezone-aware email scheduling. I’m proud that I can pair backend engineering with practical ops thinking—CI/CD, migrations, caching strategies, and safe automation—using tools like GitLab CI/CD, Alembic, Kubernetes, and Pytest.
