What I'm looking for

I’m looking to keep supporting infection prevention—running surveillance, advising isolation, and responding to outbreaks—while using my clinical leadership and policy work to improve patient safety.

I manage a caseload of patients with alert organisms at James Paget University Hospital, visiting patients, monitoring stays, and advising on isolation using a risk assessment approach. I keep fellow professionals grounded in the significance of laboratory reports and run surveillance of healthcare-acquired infections using lab and clinical information.

When outbreaks happen, I help lead outbreak control operations—convening the Outbreak Control Team, supporting minutes and dissemination, and coordinating epidemiological investigations and daily data collation from affected wards/areas. I also liaise with cleaning managers and support staff with evidence-based interventions to control incidents.

Alongside infection prevention work, I’ve delivered vaccination clinic services as a Charge Nurse and worked as a Staff Nurse on an acute respiratory ward and as a Prison Nurse in Norwich, including triage, clinical governance, safeguarding, and care across complex patient groups.
