What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow as a Quantity Surveyor where strong cost control, negotiation, and accurate reporting matter—working closely with clients and project teams to deliver compliant budgets and commercially favourable outcomes.

I’m an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial mindset built in the railway and fit-out industry. I bring attention to detail, excellent communication, and negotiation skills, backed by software proficiency including COINS and Excel.

In my current Quantity Surveyor role, I prepare take-offs from drawings and specifications, control project costs against budgets, and produce cost plans, budgets, valuations, and variation quotations. I also prepare fire stopping cost estimates for refurbishment and compliance projects, and I liaise with clients to resolve commercial and technical issues—negotiating costs, variations, and final accounts for favourable outcomes.

Previously, as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor Trainee, I supported cost planning and procurement across a Network Rail framework, including building an advanced Excel system. I prepared estimates and final accounts using Schedule of Rates, monitored compliance with financial and contractual clauses, delivered weekly reports to senior management, and supported payments and subcontractor/supplier arrangements.
