At Swan General Limited in Mauritius, I hold full underwriting authority up to treaty capacity across Property, Liability, and Financial Lines. I advise on underwriting strategy, policies, procedures, pricing tools, portfolio performance, and risk management.
I led the end-to-end development of the PMBR SME packaged commercial insurance product and Trade Credit Insurance product, covering policy wordings, risk assessment, pricing, underwriting rules, and supporting documentation. I also serve as business lead for the SSP Pure implementation, overseeing requirements, configuration, UAT, issue reporting, and staff training.
Previously at Econet Insurance, I led underwriting teams and, as Acting Head of Operations, directed Underwriting, Business Development, Risk Management, and Claims. I structured reinsurance treaty programmes, developed underwriting strategies and compliance frameworks, managed facultative placements, and reported operational performance to senior leadership.
My insurer-side career spans Zimbabwe and Mauritius, with experience across commercial underwriting, claims, reinsurance, product development, and portfolio analytics. I bring ACII and ANZIIF Senior Associate CIP credentials alongside practical experience building dashboards in Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
