What I'm looking for

I seek reporting roles at a fact-driven newsroom covering public affairs, sports, and investigative beats, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

I am a Japanese journalist with two and a half years of newsroom experience at JIJI PRESS in Tokyo, producing about 100 articles per year. I deliver fast, accurate reporting under tight deadlines and in high-pressure field situations.

My coverage has ranged across public affairs and government beats — including ministries — as well as sports events such as sumo and baseball. I have conducted interviews with mayors and local leaders and covered breaking incidents and accidents.

I hold a Master of Letters from Aichi Gakuin University and strong English credentials (TOEIC 880, TOEFL iBT 89). I combine rigorous research and clear writing with extensive field reporting, including on-scene coverage of the Noto Earthquake.

I bring curiosity, persistence, and a focus on factual storytelling to every assignment. I am eager to contribute to a newsroom that values public-interest reporting, sports coverage, and investigative work where I can continue developing beat expertise.
