Tinashe Chigwende

My background is in mathematics, statistics, and probability. I obtained a BSc in Actuarial Science before becoming a Data Analyst, giving me a strong quantitative foundation that shapes how I work with data. I don’t just visualize data; I understand the statistical and mathematical relationships behind it, which helps me interpret what the data is actually telling us and how different factors relate to one another.

I’ve built on that foundation through experience across the full analytics lifecycle. The Rwanda Land Dashboard for Rwanda’s National Land Authority is one example: I worked on the system end to end, from data analysis and dashboard design through stakeholder engagement, deployment, and launch, and later led its impact evaluation. The R Shiny platform now covers 10M+ land records and 51,000+ users, with the evaluation finding a 40% improvement in data access and 35% efficiency gains. At GanzAfrica, I’ve since worked across other government institutions, developing KPI frameworks, data models, dashboards, and monitoring systems.

I’ve also continued to strengthen my technical capabilities through an MSc in Data Analytics from Nexford University and an MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science. I bring a combination of quantitative training, practical experience, and end-to-end analytics to my work.
