Tim Anderson

I’m a dedicated social worker, passionate about empowering individuals and families to overcome challenges, achieve personal growth, and find hope in difficult times. My approach is shaped by personal experiences as a Marine Corps veteran, a cancer survivor, and a caregiver, which reinforced my belief in the resilience of the human spirit.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) with a 4.0 GPA and am pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) to deepen my ability to advocate for and support diverse populations. I’ve supported veterans, individuals battling cancer, people in addiction recovery, and families navigating complex life transitions.

In my current role as Care Coordination Manager / Oncology Social Worker, I focus on meaningful client relationships and practical next steps—breaking challenges into manageable steps and celebrating victories along the way. I also facilitate support groups and have experience delivering services through contract and internship positions, bringing structure and empathy to care.

I blend my social work expertise with nonprofit and operational strengths, including nonprofit collaboration, grant writing, and technology solutions to streamline operations. I’m also volunteering with Champaign County Cancer Association and Samaritan Works, combining life skills education and CRM implementation with advocacy for systemic change—always with the mission to foster healing, build resilience, and inspire hope.
