I’m an Insurance Underwriter specializing in workers’ compensation, combining underwriting discipline with risk analytics to drive profitable growth. I’m currently an Aspiring CPCU Candidate, having passed the 500, 520, 530, 540, 550, and 551 exams (completion expected Fall 2026).

In my current Underwriter II role (January 2023–Present), I underwrite accounts $50,000+ in premium across a designated territory of 12 states, following state insurance laws. I review over 100 submissions per month and handle referral accounts exceeding small business underwriter authority (<$25K premium), providing guidance on risk underwriting decisions.

Previously, as a Policy Underwriter (June 2019–January 2023), I managed profitability, growth, and retention of $900,000+ annually per carrier. I analyzed complex underwriting data—including loss ratios, payroll audits, and experience modifications—and delivered strong performance with a 62% quote to submitted ratio (company standard - 25%) and a 37.5% bound to submitted quote ratio (company standard - 25%).

I also bring hands-on analytical experience from my internship at First Data Corp. (April 2018–May 2019), where I ran SQL queries to acquire data and created Microsoft Excel reports for the financial services team. I identified, analyzed, and interpreted trends or patterns in complex data sets, which continues to shape how I approach risk assessment today.
