Isaiah Smith

I am a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics candidate (Dec 2025) who combines hands-on underwriting internship experience with student leadership and entrepreneurship. I focus on applying data analysis to assess risk and support business decisions.

As an underwriting intern I exported and analyzed 279 firm cases, presented findings to senior leadership, and practiced cross-functional collaboration to produce stop-loss insurance quotes. In branch operations I processed and audited loan transactions and participated in compliance and process-improvement projects.

I founded and served as president of The Collective Society, ran a small business (SugaBytesTx_), and sponsored campus pop-up shops that sold out—demonstrating event organization, fundraising, and financial stewardship. I also served as Financial Secretary for my fraternity, managing financial records and reporting.

My technical toolkit includes R (RStudio), Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, macros), Tableau, Power BI, and data-visualization training from Coursera. I am eager to join a team where I can apply analytical rigor, improve processes, and grow into a career in underwriting, risk, or financial analytics.
