Tara Zadeh

I’m a dedicated Health Communication graduate from San Diego State University, completing my bachelor’s degree in three years. I’m an incoming Master of Public Health (MPH) candidate at California State University, Long Beach, with a strong foundation in health communication, patient education, community outreach, and health promotion.

I bring over five years of customer service experience in the food industry, and I’m energized by advancing health equity, improving healthcare access, and supporting underserved communities. Through roles like a Marketing Internship and customer-facing work, I distributed flyers, interacted with guests, helped maintain store standards, and supported effective communication.

As a National Liberty of Patient Rights and Advocacy Intern, I attended meetings, created a social media plan, and contributed ideas for children’s books related to healthcare. I also worked on numerous public health articles, collaborated with local colleges to promote books, and supported community-focused efforts.

I’ve built hands-on public health and research experience through projects including nonverbal communication in Oncology interviews and a research project on Food Shortage using data analysis and write-ups. At the CSU Health Policy Conference, I connected with CSU faculty and engaged with panels on Public Health Policy, strengthening how I investigate environmental inequities and communicate health insights.
