Tanay Sengupta

I’m a certified cybersecurity enthusiast with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, focused on practical defense work. I’m skilled in web and network security, Linux, Python automation, penetration testing, and SOC analysis, with hands-on industry exposure.

In my current role as a Cybersecurity Intern (SOC Analyst), I monitor and investigate security alerts using Wazuh SIEM and ELK Stack through log-based detection and investigation. I contribute to CTEM-style vulnerability management and risk assessment, and I handle alert triage, IOC validation, and incident documentation following a standard SOC workflow.

Previously, as a Technical & Functional Tester Intern, I identified functional defects and potential security-related issues during application testing. I reported issues with clear reproduction steps and collaborated with the development team, gaining exposure to mobile application behavior, security risks, and preventive security measures.

Alongside my experience, I build security-focused projects like a Python-based service specific payload port scanner and a Python-based subdomain exposure audit tool. I aim to apply these practical cybersecurity skills in real-world projects that strengthen organizational security goals.
