At the Landscape Research Institute and Masaryk University, I lead soil science for the EU Horizon WILDCARD project, investigating soil organic carbon dynamics and belowground biodiversity across rewilded forests and farmland in nine European countries. My recent first-author work examines tree-throw carbon dynamics and carbon sequestration following natural vegetation recovery.
I bring 20+ years in soil biogeochemistry, stable isotopes, SOM fractionation, radiocarbon dating, GIS, and paleoecology, alongside daily use of Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini for scientific synthesis, data interpretation, and Python/R code generation. I can design and evaluate rigorous earth-science AI tasks, spot domain-specific model failures, and translate frontier research into structured training data.
