@laurasudupemedinilla
Computational biologist with expertise in spatial transcriptomics and data analysis.
What I'm looking for
I am a computational biologist with extensive hands-on experience in spatial transcriptomics and single-cell data analysis. My journey has taken me through diverse research environments across Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Europe, allowing me to cultivate a collaborative mindset and adaptability within interdisciplinary teams. Currently, I work at Immunai in Prague, where I contribute to strategic decisions on sequencing platform selection and support the development of a spatial transcriptomics pipeline in collaboration with AstraZeneca.
Previously, I served as a doctoral researcher at KAUST, leading spatial transcriptomics analysis of bone marrow and applying advanced statistical methods to unravel tissue complexity. My research has focused on investigating cell interactions in various biological contexts, utilizing multi-omics approaches to enhance tumor data interpretation. As a visiting researcher in Japan, I explored graph neural networks to analyze complex biological data structures, further enriching my expertise in computational models for biological data analysis.
